Job Description

Insch Golf Club is a long-established parkland course offering spectacular views across the town of Insch and the surrounding countryside. Situated on the edge of the village, the course provides an enjoyable experience for golfers of all abilities and features a welcoming members’ clubhouse.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Greenkeeper to lead our greenkeeping team and oversee the ongoing management of the golf course in line with the club’s strategic objectives. The successful candidate will play a central role in maintaining, developing, and continually improving course standards.

This is a permanent, full-time position. As a valued member of the team, you will take responsibility for the planning and implementation of the course maintenance programme, ensuring the course is consistently presented to the highest possible standard for both members and visitors. You will also contribute to future course developments and improvement projects, where strong attention to detail will be essential.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in turf maintenance, drainage systems, and irrigation management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and staff management abilities
  • Competence in operating and maintaining a wide range of greenkeeping machinery
  • Thorough understanding of workplace health, safety, and security procedures
  • Ability to work effectively within agreed budgets
  • Full UK driving licence
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Greenkeeping and Sports Turf Management
  • Spraying and chainsaw certifications

Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications and will reflect the suitability of the successful candidate.
