Dubai-based real estate developer Select Group has expanded its UK hospitality footprint with the acquisition of three Delta Hotels by Marriott golf and country club resorts.
The acquisition includes the Delta Hotels Breadsall Priory Country Club in Derbyshire, the Delta Hotels St Pierre Country Club in Chepstow (Wales), and the Delta Hotels Tudor Park Country Club in Maidstone (Kent). Combined, the three freehold countryside estates cover more than 900 acres and add 380 keys to the developer’s portfolio.
This transaction follows Select Group’s previous UK hospitality acquisitions, which include The Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Cheshire and the Old Thorns Hotel & Resort in Hampshire. With this latest deal, the developer’s golf resort portfolio grows to five properties totaling more than 530 keys.
Select Group has announced plans to invest in operational upgrades across the three newly acquired properties. The planned investments will target guest experiences, wellness facilities, golf operations, event spaces, and long-term asset performance.

The deal comes amid rising global investor interest in golf tourism and wellness-led resort travel. Market research firm Future Market Insights values the global golf tourism market at US$24.8 billion in 2026, with projections estimating it will reach US$39.2 billion by 2036. Data indicates that golf tourists spend roughly 30% to 50% more than traditional leisure travelers due to bundled spending on accommodation, dining, spa services, events, and green fees.
Supported by more than 3,000 courses, the UK remains one of Europe’s largest golf tourism markets, driven by ongoing investments in integrated destinations that combine golf, wellness, events, and outdoor hospitality.

Its notable projects include the Six Senses Residences Dubai Marina, the Peninsula waterfront community in Business Bay, and Jumeirah Living Marina Gate in Dubai Marina.
