Lanark Golf Club is seeking a passionate and ambitious Senior Greenkeeper to join our dedicated greenkeeping team and help shape the future of our championship moorland course.

Founded in 1851, Lanark Golf Club is recognised as the world’s oldest inland golf course still playing on its original site. With a rich heritage that includes design input from Old Tom Morris and James Braid, the club is committed to preserving its unique character while investing in an ambitious programme of course improvements and development.

The Role

Working closely with the Course Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the maintenance, presentation and continual improvement of the golf course.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with all aspects of golf course maintenance and presentation
• Supporting the implementation of the club’s 10-year course development strategy
• Supervising and motivating the greenkeeping team
• Managing turf care operations, irrigation systems and course set-up
• Leading projects and deputising for the Course Manager when required
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and environmental compliance
• Contributing to the delivery of exceptional playing conditions year-round

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Essential

• Experience as a qualified Greenkeeper (minimum 3-5 years’ experience)
• Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf Management or equivalent (Level 3 preferred)
• Strong knowledge of turf management, agronomy and irrigation
• PA1, PA2, PA6 and chainsaw qualifications

 Desirable

• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Passion for golf course presentation and continuous improvement
• Mechanical Experience
