ENGLAND - The ongoing investment and continued rapid growth of Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa has been recognized at one of the North East’s most prestigious business award ceremonies.
The County Durham hotel beat out strong competition to claim the title of Larger Business of the Year at the North East Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, held on Thursday, June 17, at Gateshead’s Glasshouse.
The award marks the latest success for the hotel, which has expanded its offerings over more than a decade to establish itself as a major destination.
Its most recent addition—a £9.2 million project called The Pin—features state-of-the-art driving ranges, electronic games, a bowling alley, and an American-style food and bar venue. The new development has put the hotel on track for a projected 40 percent growth this year.

In addition to employing 400 staff members, the hotel is heavily investing in sustainability measures. This includes new solar generation systems designed to save 160 tonnes of $CO_2$ annually.
With an award-winning spa, championship golf courses, four restaurants, and unique accommodations—including a range of large and small treehouses—the hotel remains a significant contributor to the North East economy.
