United Kingdom - Rudding Park in Yorkshire has announced a £1 million investment into a new immersive golf experience, scheduled to open next month.
The significant investment introduces "The Great Yorkshire Golf Adventure," a new food and beverage space, enhancements to the resort's Golf Academy, and the launch of a new brand called Gimme Golf, as part of the resort's ongoing business evolution.
Set to launch on Yorkshire Day (August 1), The Great Yorkshire Golf Adventure will feature an 18-hole experience inspired by the region's rich heritage. Each hole will showcase famous figures, historic landmarks, and iconic locations from across Yorkshire.
As part of the overhaul, the existing Golf Academy will be rebranded as Gimme Golf. The rebrand reflects a broader vision to make the sport more accessible, sociable, and appealing to entirely new audiences.
Management at the resort emphasized that the changes are designed to meet shifting cultural demands in sports and hospitality.
"We continue to evolve the business and have ambitious growth plans for Rudding over the coming years," said Matthew Mackaness, joint managing director. "Golf plays an important part of the Rudding Park experience and there is no doubt the sport is seeing its biggest cultural shift in years. We are responding to growing demand for more social, accessible and entertaining golf experiences. Hospitality remains at the heart of everything we do, so alongside the new experience we’ve also created a relaxed food and drink offering for residents, members and day visitors."
Marc Rice, head of golf, highlighted that the new additions will complement the resort's existing high-tier facilities.
"Rudding Park already offers one of the region’s most comprehensive golf destinations, with championship golf, TrackMan technology, short-course play, PGA coaching and custom fitting," Rice explained. "Our vision is to welcome more people into the game while continuing to provide an outstanding experience for existing golfers. We’re creating a destination that’s as much about hospitality as it is about the game."
