Power Tee, the global leader in automated teeing technology, has announced the appointment of Tony Eccleston as Managing Director of UK & Europe. Effective late 2025, Eccleston takes the helm during a period of significant momentum for the company as it prepares for its 30th anniversary.
Eccleston joins Power Tee with over 20 years of experience in the sports industry, including more than a decade specifically within the golf sector. His impressive track record includes leading the European golf category at Hi-Tec Sports, successfully launching the premium Italian brand Duca del Cosma in the UK and Ireland, and driving growth for the US-based Stitch Golf.
In his new role, Eccleston will oversee all UK and European operations, focusing on strategic direction and accelerating the company’s expansion across the continent. His appointment signals a renewed investment in regional leadership to support Power Tee’s growing network of partners.
"I’m delighted to be joining Power Tee at such an exciting stage of its development," said Eccleston. "The company has built an outstanding reputation for quality, innovation, and customer focus. I look forward to working closely with our teams here and in the United States to unlock new opportunities for growth."
Power Tee’s technology is a staple at world-renowned venues, including St Andrews, The Belfry, and Celtic Manor. The system is designed to improve golfer rhythm and practice efficiency by automatically teeing up balls, a feature that has made it a favorite for both professional facilities and casual players.
Martin Wyeth, Founder & CEO of Power Tee, expressed high confidence in the new appointment: "Tony brings a strong strategic mindset, deep golf industry knowledge, and a proven ability to grow premium brands. His leadership style and commercial acumen make him the ideal person to lead our UK and European business. We are confident he will play a key role in strengthening our position."
The appointment comes at a pivotal time for the brand. Power Tee is currently gearing up to celebrate its 30th anniversary at the 2026 PGA Show, where it expects to showcase further innovations in automated golf technology. With Eccleston at the regional helm, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on the evolving demands of the modern driving range and golf facility.
