Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts has officially rebranded to Marine & Lawn Golf Hotels. The name change drops "resorts" from the brand identity to focus directly on its golf hospitality collection across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and upcoming expansion into the United States.
The new identity is being applied across the company's existing properties, adjusting the official names of its entire current portfolio:

Phillip Allen, president of Marine & Lawn Golf Hotels, addressed the rationale behind the update:
“The new name gives us a clearer way to express what connects this collection. Each hotel is individual, with its own history, personality and sense of place, but they share a belief that the best trips are shaped as much by what happens around the day as by the reason you travelled there in the first place. “It might be a long lunch overlooking the coast, a drink by the fire, discovering a new town or simply spending time together somewhere memorable. Those experiences are at the heart of Marine & Lawn.” |
The rebranding aligns with the group's planned international growth starting in 2027.
Greywalls Hotel, an East Lothian estate near Muirfield, will reopen as Marine & Lawn Greywalls in summer 2027. Later that autumn, the collection will enter the United States market with the opening of Marine & Lawn Pine Needles in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Ben Weprin, CEO of developer AJ Capital Partners, highlighted the roots and mission of the group:
“St Andrews is where Marine & Lawn began, and it shaped our view of what a truly memorable destination hotel can be. The places in this collection have extraordinary histories and landscapes, and our ambition has always been to create hotels that feel part of them rather than simply located within them.” |
In conjunction with the brand update, Marine & Lawn has entered a new partnership with golf governing body The R&A. As part of this agreement, Marine & Lawn Rusacks has been designated the Official Hotel of The 155th Open when the tournament takes place at St Andrews in July 2027.
The deal also establishes "The Open Grand Tour," a series of small-group travel itineraries. Between May 2027 and June 2028, up to four tours will be offered, combining stays at Marine & Lawn properties with access to Open venues and exclusive experiences. Each tour will be capped at 16 guests, with full details scheduled for release this autumn.
