The Toro Company reinforces long term investment in the European golf industry through expanded partnership with GCAE

1 May, 2026

The The Toro Company, a global leader in turf, irrigation and landscape solutions, has expanded its partnership with the Golf Course Association Europe, reinforcing a shared commitment to supporting golf facilities across Europe.

Building on years of collaboration, the renewed agreement places greater emphasis on knowledge-sharing and practical support for course owners and operators. The partnership reflects a growing focus on equipping facilities with the tools and insights needed to navigate evolving operational and environmental challenges.

Toro is widely recognised for its portfolio of equipment, irrigation systems and smart technologies, alongside its ongoing investment in people through greenkeeper education programmes, scholarships and training initiatives. The expanded partnership strengthens this commitment by connecting Toro’s expertise more directly with decision-makers shaping the future of the golf industry.

At the GCAE Golf Business Conference in Madeira last year, Toro contributed a presentation on water management and the operational impact of changing resource conditions. Feedback from delegates highlighted the relevance of Toro’s experience for facilities aiming to balance playing quality with responsible resource use.

Through the strengthened collaboration, Toro gains a more structured platform to share practical insights, support informed decision-making and engage more closely with industry leaders across Europe.

“Supporting the golf industry has always been central to how Toro operates,” said Andrew Ihrke, Senior International Marketing Manager at The Toro Company. “By deepening our partnership with GCAE, we are reinforcing our long-term investment in European golf and strengthening our ability to share real-world experience around innovation, education and sustainable course management. It is about working alongside facilities to support the long-term success of the industry.”

“The conversations that happen at GCAE events are different from most. You are in a room with the people who actually run the business of golf — owners, operators, decision-makers. That is exactly where we want to be. It keeps us sharp, and it helps us make sure that what we build and offer actually fits what the industry needs,” said Andy Brown, Senior Sales Manager, Global Business Development and Relationships at The Toro Company.

Renate Roeleveld, CEO of GCAE, added:
“Toro has always been more than machines. They invest in people, in knowledge and in the long-term health of the game. This partnership helps connect their day-to-day experience on the course with the decisions that shape how facilities are run. Together we can share insights, ask better questions and help facilities move towards strong, sustainable and future-ready operations.”

Together, Toro and GCAE aim to support the European golf sector with practical guidance and shared expertise, helping facilities deliver high-quality playing conditions while building a resilient and sustainable future for the industry.
