Le Golf National’s Albatros course will reopen in September 2026 following nearly two years of extensive transformation work. The redesign, carried out alongside construction of the Grand Paris Express Line 18, focused on enhancing the venue's strategic playability, visual impact, and environmental sustainability.

The updated course is scheduled to resume hosting major international tournaments immediately upon reopening, starting with the return of the Open de France in September 2026.

Major Layout and Feature Redesigns

The two-year project introduced significant alterations to several signature sections of the course:

• Holes 4, 5, and 6: Completely reconfigured with new layouts, landforms, playing surfaces, and landscape features.
• Greens: Remodelled on Holes 1, 2, 9, 15, 17, and 18.
• Bunkers: Redesigned on Holes 2, 9, 14, and 18.
• Teeing Grounds: Added a new championship back tee on Hole 15 alongside updated teeing areas across the course.

Modernization and Sustainability Improvements

In addition to structural layout changes, the entire facility underwent agronomic modernization aimed at reducing environmental impact:

• Integration of resilient turf varieties suited for long-term sustainability.
• Implementation of an optimized irrigation network.
• Adoption of updated water management practices to lower overall water consumption.
