BROUGHTON, Lincolnshire — Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort has named hospitality veteran Nick Lawson as its new resort general manager, joining the venue's parent company, the QHotels Collection.
Lawson enters the position following an eight-month career break, bringing over 30 years of hospitality industry experience to the Lincolnshire destination.
Prior to his current appointment, Lawson served for two years as resort director at St Mellion Estate in Cornwall.
His background includes nearly seven years with Malmaison and Hotel du Vin, where he worked as a general manager and pre-opening specialist across the group's portfolio. Additionally, Lawson has held leadership roles at Penventon Park Hotel and Woodbury Park Hotel and Golf Club.
Announcing his role on LinkedIn, Lawson reflected on his recent hiatus and shared his outlook for the resort:

“The break was a deliberate one. I chose to step back, take my time, and be certain that the next role was the right one rather than simply the next one.
“Over these months I have visited some remarkable places, met genuinely inspiring people, and learned a great deal about culture, standards and what makes the very best resorts work. All of it will shape how I lead at Forest Pines.
“What excites me most is that this is not only about the day to day. Forest Pines has a number of projects in the pipeline, and I am thrilled to be taking the lead on bringing them to fruition over the coming year and beyond. Building something lasting, with a talented team, at a resort with real ambition, is exactly what I was looking for.”
Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is a four-star property situated on 190 acres of woodland in Lincolnshire, located near Broughton and Brigg. The resort facilities include:
