Pravets Golf Club, a premier destination in Bulgaria, has announced the appointment of Jordan Fairweather as its new General Manager. The move marks a welcome return for Fairweather, who was a pivotal member of the club’s pre-opening team between 2010 and 2012.
Fairweather brings a wealth of international experience, having spearheaded numerous large-scale projects across Asia, Europe, and The Middle East. His impressive resume includes involvement with the prestigious Els Club Malaysia and responsibility for the construction and opening of PGA National Czech Republic. Most recently, he managed a portfolio of six clubs across Dubai, Morocco, and India for the Dubai-based real estate developer, Emaar Properties.
Commenting on his return to the picturesque setting of Pravets, Fairweather expressed his enthusiasm for the destination's growth.
"It’s great to be back here and to see how the course and destination has matured," said Fairweather. "Regionally it is the ideal, all-round destination for golf and offers something for everyone. We plan over the next year to enhance the guest and member experience with new benefits and technologies, while showcasing our destination to the international golfing community.”
Pravets Golf Club, designed by renowned architect Peter Harradine, has consistently been recognized for setting the standard for golf course conditioning and operations within Bulgaria. The club has maintained a strong, loyal membership base since its opening in 2011.
The golf course and academy are situated in a stunning location, nestled between Pravets Lake and the Stara Planina Mountains, approximately 50km from Sofia. The destination is further complemented by the on-site Hyatt Regency Hotel, which offers extensive spa facilities, a selection of restaurants, and various entertainment options, including bowling and tennis—making it an ideal retreat from city life.
The region is increasingly accessible to international visitors, thanks to a rise in direct flights from major European cities to the newly renovated Vasil Levski International Airport in Sofia. Both Sofia and Pravets are well-positioned for international tourism, with the ownership company, Terra Tour Regency, also operating a Hyatt Regency Hotel in the capital city.
Pravets Golf Club is owned by Terra Tour Regency, a key division of the Terraway Investment Group of companies, which owns and manages a comprehensive portfolio of hotel and leisure facilities both within Bulgaria and abroad.
