Developer Crown Golf has revealed early plans to build a new neighbourhood on part of the Wickham Park Golf Club site in Hampshire, seeking feedback from local residents on the proposal.
The proposals outline the construction of new homes, including an unspecified allocation of affordable housing. Alongside the residential development, the project includes:
Existing golf facilities will remain in operation under the plan. All 12 golf holes, the driving range, and the clubhouse are scheduled to be retained.
Crown Golf is inviting residents to review and comment on the early proposals during a community planning event.
Residents unable to attend in person can view the information and submit their feedback online.
Feedback collected during the consultation phase will be used to refine the plans. The developer intends to present the final proposals at a subsequent report-back session, where members of the public will have further opportunities to ask questions and provide comments.
Crown Golf aims to submit the formal planning application to Winchester City Council by the end of the year.
The development initiative aligns with the company's long-term business strategy. In 2021, Crown Golf stated that it had evolved from purely a golf course business into a property development company.
