Junkyard Golf Club is expanding beyond crazy golf with the launch of its first Junkyard Social Club concept at Liverpool ONE this October. The transformation marks the first location in the brand’s UK portfolio to adopt the broader entertainment format.

Located on The Terrace within Liverpool ONE’s dining and leisure quarter, the 14,000 sq ft venue originally opened in March 2019. After seven years in the city, the site is evolving into an all-night social destination featuring live entertainment, karaoke, expanded gaming options, drinks, and designated lounge areas alongside its core offering.

Scrapyard Disco Course Removed to Expand Gaming and Karaoke

To make room for the new concept, Junkyard has removed one of the venue’s original courses, "Gary," which was themed as a scrapyard disco.

In its place, the site will feature:

• A dedicated UV karaoke room
• Bookable interactive gaming: Interactive darts, pool, and arcade machines including Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Point Blank, and Ms Pac Man

Venue-Wide Refresh and Layout Changes

The site is undergoing several physical updates to support its transition to an all-night social space:

• Live Entertainment Stage: A new stage installed directly at the entrance will host live performances.
• Revamped Bar Area: The main bar will feature a pool table and an interactive darts board available for walk-up play without prior booking.
• Cornhole Area: A classic American cornhole zone will provide casual competitive play for guests awaiting activity bookings or visiting solely for drinks.

Shift in Strategy for the Competitive Socialising Sector

The rebrand aligns with changing consumer habits across the competitive socialising sector, where venue visitors increasingly seek multi-activity spaces under one roof.

Since opening in 2019, the Liverpool ONE location has logged over 700,000 games played and over 20 million golf balls hit. Positioned as one of the brand's highest-performing locations, the site will serve as a blueprint for potential rollout across Junkyard's other UK locations.
